NAC Breda’s community arm will launch a new edition of its NAC Beweegt programme on 7 September 2026, with Thomas Marijnissen taking a prominent role in the opening workshop. The 12-week initiative is intended to help supporters become fitter, improve their energy levels and develop healthier, sustainable habits.

Marijnissen was part of the NAC side that earned promotion to the Eredivisie in 2024. He has since become active as a speaker and coach, working on subjects including mental resilience, self-image, personal responsibility and lasting behavioural change. At the programme’s kick-off, he will discuss his own experiences and encourage participants to identify goals for the following 12 weeks.

The programme includes exercise sessions every Monday evening at the Rat Verlegh Stadion. Participants will train under professional supervision and can work at a level suited to their own ability. Six Wednesday-evening sessions will also introduce the group to different sports providers, giving them an opportunity to explore which activities suit them best.

Marijnissen and Robbie Haemhouts are among those scheduled to deliver workshops covering motivation, relaxation and healthy living. NAC says the group setting is designed to provide mutual encouragement while giving participants practical tools they can continue using after the programme ends. Registration is open through the club’s community website.
