De Graafschap will part company with club stalwart Roelofsen at the end of the season, bringing his 22-year association with the club to a close. The former footballer has represented the Achterhoek side in a wide variety of playing, coaching and recruitment positions.

Since September 2025, Roelofsen has worked with leading prospects in De Graafschap’s academy, helping them take steps towards the senior side. His previous responsibilities included spells as an assistant coach, interim head coach, reserve-team coach, individual development coach and chief scout. He also had two separate periods as a player at De Vijverberg.

Roelofsen said leaving after so long brought mixed emotions, while expressing pride in his work and gratitude for the opportunities he received. Reflecting on his connection to the club, he said, in comments reported by VI: “My blue-and-white heart will remain forever.” He also highlighted the players, coaches and colleagues with whom he has worked, and said his different roles had helped him develop both professionally and personally.

His impending departure comes during a difficult campaign for De Graafschap. The club sit 19th in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie table, with eight points from nine matches after two wins, two draws and five defeats. They have scored 11 goals and conceded 22 over that run.
