Ro-Zangelo Daal has been tipped to enter the Netherlands senior-team conversation after starring in AZ’s 5-2 victory over Go Ahead Eagles. The left winger scored twice, accounting for the goals that made it 2-1 and 5-1, as he produced an eye-catching attacking display for the Alkmaar side.

Former international Arie Haan selected Daal in his Team of the Week for De Telegraaf and highlighted the difficulty Go Ahead had containing him. According to FCUpdate, Haan said the winger was “impossible to stop” and praised his ability to move inside whenever defenders tried to block his route down the flank.

Haan also suggested Daal’s progress should be welcomed by Netherlands coach Xavi Hernández. He described the attacker’s development as spectacular and said it was positive for the national coach to see another winger emerging at this level.

The possibility of an Oranje opportunity remains speculative, but Daal is reportedly already on the KNVB’s radar. FCUpdate noted that Algemeen Dagblad journalist Maarten Wijffels had previously named the AZ player among those on Hernández’s watchlist. His two-goal performance against Go Ahead has now added further momentum to that discussion, although the supplied reporting does not indicate that a senior call-up has been decided.
