Ricardo Pepi set to stay at PSV despite reported Galatasaray interest
Turkish reports have linked the striker with Galatasaray, but PSV watcher Rik Elfrink says the proposed fee would not be enough to secure a transfer.

Ricardo Pepi is unlikely to leave PSV for Galatasaray this summer despite reports of interest from Turkey. Club watcher Rik Elfrink has played down the possibility of a deal, saying the Turkish champions have little chance of persuading PSV to sell the 23-year-old striker at present.
According to Elfrink, Galatasaray have a fee of between €25 million and €30 million in mind, but that range is considered too low. Pepi is also said to be focused on performing for PSV this season rather than pushing for a move. Elfrink described a transfer as “not an option for now” in comments reported by FCUpdate.
The United States international is beginning his fourth season with the Eindhoven club. A departure had appeared possible during the previous winter window, when a move to Fulham was close, but the deadline-day transfer was cancelled. The official explanation was that PSV had been unable to recruit a replacement.
Pepi has scored 45 goals and supplied eight assists in 103 competitive appearances for PSV. He also featured in all five of the United States’ matches at the recent World Cup without scoring. His contract runs until the summer of 2030, leaving PSV under no immediate pressure to consider a sale.
