Raymond Alfons leaves Heracles after more than 12 years

Heracles Almelo have announced the departure of supporter liaison officer Raymond Alfons after more than 12 years in the role. The club described him as an important link between Heracles and their supporters throughout an eventful period.

Alfons helped initiate the club’s current crest and contributed to the creation of the H-side stand. His tenure also included Heracles’ European away fixture against Arouca in Portugal and the club’s Keuken Kampioen Divisie title celebrations in 2023. Heracles also credited him with helping improve the club’s visibility and presentation.

The parties agreed that it was time for Alfons to take a different path after the demands of a job which, according to the club, required him to remain continually available as both a contact for supporters and a representative of Heracles. He is now available for a new professional challenge.

Alfons intends to continue attending matches from the H-side. In the club’s announcement, he said: “Heracles Almelo is and always will be my club.” He thanked supporter associations, sponsors and other Heracles followers for their trust and support, while expressing his hope that the team will earn promotion back to the Eredivisie next season.
