NAC Breda have confirmed the immediate transfer of Raul Paula to SV Wehen Wiesbaden. The two clubs reached an agreement for the 22-year-old German to continue his career in the 3. Liga.

Paula joined NAC on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, arriving from VfB Stuttgart’s reserve side. That team was playing in the Regionalliga Südwest at the time. The former Germany youth international went on to make 43 appearances in NAC’s yellow and black.

Technical director Peter Maas said Paula had shown flashes of his quality during his time in Breda, but added that recurring injuries prevented him from fully establishing himself. Maas also wished the player success at Wehen Wiesbaden as he begins the next stage of his career back in Germany.

Paula said he had developed both as a person and as a footballer at NAC, while highlighting the positive experiences he shared with his team-mates and the club’s supporters. Despite enjoying his spell in Breda, he told NAC’s official website that returning to his home country “feels good”.
