PSV have reached an agreement with NEC to sign Sami Ouaissa, according to reports from Voetbal International and De Telegraaf. The 21-year-old winger is expected to cost €9 million, with his move still subject to a medical scheduled for Monday.

If the examination presents no issues, Ouaissa is set to sign a five-year contract with the Dutch champions. He would become PSV’s fifth major addition of the window, following Sven Mijnans, Kodai Sano, Lutsharel Geertruida and Filip Kostic.

The move would also continue a lucrative summer of sales for NEC. De Telegraaf reports that the Nijmegen club’s outgoing transfer business has now exceeded €40 million, including Sano’s earlier €15 million switch to PSV. Ouaissa has made three appearances this season but has been sidelined by an injury since NEC’s return fixture against Olympiacos.

Ouaissa is expected to compete for a place on PSV’s flanks, where Peter Bosz can already call upon Ruben van Bommel, Ivan Perisic, Dennis Man and Esmir Bajraktarevic. VI reports that Bajraktarevic could still leave, while PSV are also seeking another striker before the transfer window closes. Because neither club has officially announced Ouaissa’s move and the medical remains outstanding, the deal is not yet complete.
