PSV are close to signing Lutsharel Geertruida from RB Leipzig, but the Netherlands international has yet to make his final choice, according to Voetbalzone. Citing transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, the outlet says the Eindhoven club expect clarity within 24 hours.
The proposed move would initially be a loan, although PSV and Leipzig are reportedly still discussing that element of the deal. Geertruida’s contract with the German club runs until the middle of 2029.
PSV are not alone in pursuing the versatile defender. Everton and Real Sociedad are said to have contacted Leipzig to examine the terms of a possible loan, following earlier interest from Ajax. Their approaches add uncertainty despite previous claims in the Dutch media that Geertruida had already reached a personal agreement.
The 26-year-old has made 21 appearances for the Netherlands. Voetbalzone describes him as a player who would significantly strengthen PSV, but the latest report indicates that his destination remains unresolved while the interested clubs wait for his decision.
