PSV extend Stewart deal to preserve leadership team
Stewart will remain at PSV alongside head coach Peter Bosz and general director Marcel Brands as the Eindhoven club prioritise continuity.

PSV have extended Stewart’s contract, keeping the club’s senior leadership team together. The agreement follows new deals for head coach Peter Bosz and general director Marcel Brands, whose contract runs until mid-2029.
The trio have overseen a successful period in Eindhoven, with PSV winning the Dutch championship in each of the past three seasons. Stewart appointed Bosz as coach in 2023 and is responsible for assembling the first-team squad, although he stressed that the club’s work is collaborative.
Speaking through PSV’s club website, Stewart highlighted the short lines of communication and cooperation within the board. He said PSV are still developing both the team and the wider club, with the goal of maintaining stability and building a deep, strong squad capable of competing for trophies every season.
Brands welcomed the extension and praised Stewart’s football expertise, calmness, integrity and experience. He also pointed to the close relationship between the board, coaching staff and the rest of the organisation as a foundation for PSV’s progress. Retaining key figures, Brands argued, is important if the club are to continue their development and challenge consistently for honours.
