PEC Zwolle defender Sherel Floranus accepts three-match suspension
The left-back will serve two games immediately after being sent off during PEC Zwolle’s 2-0 home defeat by Ajax.

PEC Zwolle left-back Sherel Floranus has accepted the settlement proposed by the Dutch professional football prosecutor following his red card against Ajax. The defender has been suspended for three matches, with one of those games conditional, leaving him to serve an immediate two-match ban.
Floranus was dismissed in the 57th minute of Sunday’s home fixture after committing a heavy challenge on Ajax player Lucas Rosa. The score was still 0-0 when the incident occurred, but Ajax went on to win the match 2-0 in Zwolle.
The sanction means Floranus will be unavailable for PEC’s next two away fixtures, against FC Twente and SC Heerenveen. By accepting the prosecutor’s proposal, the player has agreed to the stated punishment rather than contesting the case. The remaining suspended match forms the conditional part of the three-game sanction.
