NEC extend Noé Lebreton’s contract until 2030
The Nijmegen club have rewarded the French youth international after praising his development, work ethic and growing influence within the squad.
NEC have agreed a new long-term contract with midfielder Noé Lebreton, tying him to the Eredivisie club until the summer of 2030. The Nijmegen side announced the extension on Wednesday afternoon, according to FCUpdate.
Lebreton is a France youth international and has earned the new deal after making significant progress at NEC. Technical director Carlos Aalbers highlighted the midfielder’s athletic qualities and work rate when explaining the club’s decision to extend his stay.
Aalbers also said Lebreton has become increasingly prominent within the squad. NEC believe his leadership is developing naturally through both his personality and the steps he is taking as a player. The technical director described the renewal as a reward for that development as well as a clear expression of the club’s confidence in him.
The agreement gives NEC long-term certainty over a player whom the club regard as an increasingly influential member of the group. Lebreton’s new contract now runs through the remainder of the decade, reflecting the progress that club officials say he has made since joining NEC and their belief that his role can continue to grow.
