NAC Breda players swapped their usual duties for coaching roles during the Xtract G-day, an inclusive football tournament organised by NAC Maatschappelijk. Dozens of boys and girls from regional clubs took part at BSV Boeimeer’s Sportpark Heksenwiel on Wednesday, 30 September.

Boyd Lucassen, Fredrik Oldrup Jensen, Jan Van den Bergh and Mats Seuntjens were among the NAC first-team players assigned to teams. Goalkeeper Kostas Lamprou and Thomas Goos also joined the coaching effort, while players posed for photographs and signed autographs before the seven-minute group matches began.

Head coach Rick Kruys attended the event for the first time and watched his players encourage the participants from the touchline. Seuntjens highlighted the positive energy between coaches and teams, while Lamprou told NAC’s official website that it was “fantastic to be there” and praised the enjoyment and mutual respect on display.

Beek Vooruit reached the final by defeating vv Bavel on penalties after their semi-final finished level. Alliance overcame MOC’17 in the other semi-final before beating Beek Vooruit 1-0 in the decider. The Roosendaal side celebrated with the trophy and medals before the event concluded with food and drinks for the participants.
