NAC Breda sign versatile Mohamed Bouchouari from Wydad AC
The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year contract in Breda after returning to Dutch football from Morocco.
NAC Breda have completed the signing of Mohamed Bouchouari from Moroccan club Wydad AC. The 25-year-old has committed his future to NAC by signing a four-year contract.
Bouchouari offers flexibility across defence and midfield. NAC technical director Peter Maas highlighted the new arrival’s ability to operate on either flank because he is comfortable with both feet, describing him as the type of player the club had been seeking.
The former Belgium youth international already has experience of Dutch football. He developed in PSV’s academy and later played in the Eredivisie for FC Emmen. Much of his earlier career was spent with the academies of Zulte Waregem and Anderlecht before he left the Brussels club for Rodez AF in France’s Ligue 2. Rodez subsequently sold him to Wydad.
Bouchouari has made almost 150 official senior appearances, recording nine goals and 14 assists. He said it felt good to return to the Netherlands and that he was eager to represent NAC. The club confirmed that he will join head coach Carl Hoefkens’ squad on Wednesday.
