NAC academy trio open renovated football court at partner school
Elijah Ikpia, Christian Chiza and Anass Aachir helped Curio Scala pupils launch the new sports facility in Teteringen.
Three contracted prospects from the NAC Breda academy have officially opened a new football court at Curio Scala in Teteringen. Elijah Ikpia, Christian Chiza and Anass Aachir joined pupils for the launch on the first day of the new school year.
The court forms part of Curio Scala’s fully renovated school playground, which was brought into use as students returned after the break. NAC said the three academy players had been given the honour of opening the facility alongside the schoolchildren, with the trio demonstrating their football skills for pupils and teachers.
Curio Scala is an educational partner of the Breda club and provides basic vocational, vocational and combined theoretical secondary education. A number of players from the NAC academy also attend the school, strengthening the connection between the football programme and the new facility.
NAC expressed the hope that Curio Scala’s pupils will make extensive use of the court. The opening gave the academy representatives an opportunity to take part in school life away from their regular football commitments while marking the completion of the revamped outdoor area.
