Kostic recommends PSV pathway to young Serbian players
The Serbian praised PSV’s atmosphere, development structure and professionalism while expressing hope that more compatriots will follow him to Eindhoven.

Kostic has encouraged young Serbian footballers to consider PSV, praising the club’s environment and record of helping players build their careers. Speaking at a media event, he highlighted the atmosphere around the Eindhoven club and said he expected the stadium to be full for Serbia’s upcoming match.
The player also pointed to the influence of former PSV Serbians Mateja Kezman and Danko Lazovic. He said people asked him about the pair from the moment he arrived, adding that their positive reputations had helped open the door for later Serbian players. Kostic hopes to make a similarly strong impression and see more compatriots represent PSV in the future.
Kostic was particularly enthusiastic about the club’s development programme. “This is without doubt the best academy,” he told VI, describing PSV as an excellent platform for young players. He praised the education available in areas including professionalism and nutrition, arguing that choosing the club would benefit both individual careers and Serbian football more broadly.
Looking ahead to Sunday, Kostic said he expects an improved performance from Serbia compared with the game against Germany. He felt Serbia had defended better against the Netherlands, when the team dropped deep against opponents who prefer to control possession. Kostic also anticipated that the Dutch side would use a different line-up for the next meeting.
