Heracles Almelo defender David Vicente Robles has received a three-match suspension, with one of those games suspended, after his red card in Friday’s meeting with Helmond Sport. The sanction was proposed by the disciplinary committee of the Dutch football association, the KNVB.

Vicente Robles was dismissed only eight minutes into the Helmond Sport-Heracles fixture. Heracles subsequently accepted the settlement proposal, meaning the defender will serve an immediate two-match ban rather than contesting the punishment.

As a result, Vicente Robles will be unavailable for Heracles’ upcoming matches against RKC Waalwijk and MVV. The third match included in the sanction is conditional, leaving two fixtures to be served now under the terms accepted by the Almelo club.

The official Heracles announcement did not provide further details about the incident leading to the red card or the precise conditions attached to the suspended portion of the penalty. It did, however, confirm both the disciplinary decision and the two games the defender must miss. His absence therefore rules him out against RKC and MVV before he can return to selection, provided no further disciplinary consequence activates the conditional match.
