Heracles confirms Asito Stadion will remain smoke-free
Smoking and vaping are banned throughout the ground and concourses, with designated areas available only outside the stadium.

Heracles Almelo have confirmed that the Asito Stadion will remain smoke-free this season, beginning with Friday’s home game against FC Den Bosch. The policy continues the approach followed at the ground in previous years.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited everywhere inside the stadium, including the concourses. Supporters who want to smoke may do so only after leaving the ground and using the designated outdoor areas.
Heracles said stewards, security personnel and catering staff will actively speak to anyone who breaches the rules. The club also warned that it can seek to recover fines imposed by the KNVB, the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), or other organisations from individuals who disregard the policy.
The club noted that stadiums in the Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie have been smoke-free since 2020 under instructions from the KNVB and NVWA. Heracles said the restrictions support its aim of providing a healthy, sporting and welcoming environment, while allowing supporters to watch matches in fresh air. It also cited the importance of setting an example for younger fans as part of efforts towards a smoke-free generation.
