Heracles bounce back with controlled 2-0 victory over TOP Oss
An early breakthrough and Sem Scheperman’s stoppage-time goal secured three points for the Keuken Kampioen Divisie leaders.

Heracles Almelo responded to their KNVB Cup elimination by De Treffers with a 2-0 home victory over TOP Oss. The Keuken Kampioen Divisie leaders went ahead after nine minutes and controlled much of the contest at the Asito Stadion.
Chafik Abbas created the opener by beating Julian Kuijpers on the right and sending a dangerous cross into the penalty area. The ball took touches off defender Lars Mol and goalkeeper Mike Havekotte before finding the net. Heracles remained on top before half-time, delivering 25 crosses and creating opportunities for Jean-Paul N’Djoli, David Vicente Robles, Tristan van Gilst, Abbas and Damon Mirani without adding a second goal.
TOP Oss became more adventurous after the interval, with Mol lifting a close-range attempt wide around the hour mark. Heracles were less dominant during the second half, but the visitors could not register a shot on target. Substitute Jeff Reine-Adélaïde was introduced for the final 20 minutes as coach Vincent Heilmann looked to restore greater control in possession.
Sem Scheperman eventually made the result safe in stoppage time, converting after Max Hauswirth took a quick free-kick and David Tomic supplied the cross. It was a fitting conclusion for the captain on his 100th official Heracles appearance. Heilmann told the club’s official website that Heracles had been “supreme from the opening whistle”, while pointing to 31 attempts, 13 corners and another stable defensive display.
