Fortuna Sittard hand Daley Sinkgraven contract after injury recovery
The versatile 29-year-old has signed until the end of the season after continuing his rehabilitation and training with the Limburg club.

Fortuna Sittard have given Daley Sinkgraven a new contract following his lengthy recovery from a cruciate ligament injury. The left-back and midfielder has agreed terms through to the end of the season and will wear the number 24 shirt.
Sinkgraven initially joined Fortuna on a free transfer from Las Palmas during last season’s winter break. However, he suffered the serious knee injury in only his second appearance for the Limburg side, forcing him into an extended spell of rehabilitation.
Although his previous contract expired, the former Netherlands youth international continued training with Fortuna in Sittard as he worked towards full fitness. VI reported earlier this week that the club wanted to retain him, with the duration of the proposed agreement still under discussion. The two parties have now settled on a deal covering the remainder of the campaign.
Sinkgraven thanked Fortuna for supporting his recovery and said it was now his responsibility to repay the club’s confidence. He is immediately eligible to play, meaning he could be available when Fortuna resume their Eredivisie programme at home to FC Twente on Saturday.
