Former Feyenoord defender Jeyland Mitchell reportedly agrees Strasbourg terms

Former Feyenoord defender Jeyland Mitchell has reached a personal agreement with RC Strasbourg, according to a report cited by Voetbalzone. The Ligue 1 club have reportedly submitted an opening offer of €5 million to Sturm Graz for the 21-year-old.
Mitchell only completed a permanent move to Austria this summer. Sturm activated the purchase option included in his loan deal with Feyenoord, with Austrian reports putting the fee at approximately €1.8 million. The Costa Rica international then signed a long-term contract with Sturm.
Despite that agreement, Mitchell is said to be keen on another move and hopes to complete a switch to Strasbourg quickly. No agreement between the clubs has yet been reported, leaving the proposed transfer dependent on further negotiations with Sturm.
Feyenoord will be watching the situation because they negotiated an undisclosed sell-on percentage when Mitchell left Rotterdam. The defender made nine appearances totalling only 99 minutes for Feyenoord, including outings in the Champions League, before finding more regular playing time at Sturm. The Austrian side were eliminated by Fenerbahçe in Champions League qualifying this week.
