FC Twente warn supporters of travel disruption for Telstar home game

FC Twente have warned supporters that regular train and bus services will not be available for Wednesday evening’s home match against Telstar because of planned public transport strikes. Kick-off at De Grolsch Veste is scheduled for 18:45, with the disruption expected to add to an already busy early rush hour in Enschede.

The club has advised fans travelling by car to allow extra time, while cycling is recommended where possible. Parking close to the stadium is extremely limited for those without a parking pass. Drivers can instead leave their vehicles at the University of Twente, from where free shuttle buses will continue to operate to and from the ground despite the wider transport action.

Supporters have also been asked to prepare their tickets before reaching the turnstiles. Mobile tickets should already be visible in the FC Twente app, while e-ticket QR codes should be presented at their original size rather than enlarged. The club advises against using screenshots, but says anyone doing so should set their screen to maximum brightness.

Fans holding tickets for the second tier may enter through any of the designated stairwell entrances — C, F, M, N or Q — rather than only the entrance printed on their ticket. De Grolsch Veste is smoke-free, and the club shop will be open from 10:00 until kick-off before reopening after the match for one hour.
