FC Twente have completed the permanent signing of Jordy Bawuah from PSV. The 19-year-old Belgian midfielder has agreed a three-year contract at De Grolsch Veste, running until the summer of 2029, with an option for a further season.

Bawuah arrives after progressing through PSV’s academy, which he joined from KRC Genk in 2018. He made his professional debut for Jong PSV in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie in September 2023, aged 16, and went on to record three goals across 60 appearances for the reserve side.

The midfielder also made his Eredivisie debut for PSV in April, featuring in a home match against PEC Zwolle. At international youth level, he has played 10 times for Belgium Under-19s.

Twente’s Erik ten Hag described Bawuah as a technically capable, tactically intelligent midfielder who also possesses the defensive qualities required for the role. He added that the teenager could quickly earn a place in the team. Bawuah called the move “a very nice next step” in comments published by FC Twente and said he hopes to collect as many minutes as possible in both domestic and European matches this season.
