FC Twente will host Pafos FC at De Grolsch Veste on Thursday in their third match of the UEFA Conference League league phase. Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00, with the encounter representing a European first for the Enschede club.

Twente have never previously faced opposition from Cyprus in a European tournament. Their latest continental home fixture follows a 1-0 victory over Swiss side FC Thun at De Grolsch Veste on 15 October, which was their first league-phase home game of the campaign.

Head coach John van den Brom and winger Sondre Ørjasæter spoke to the media on Wednesday after the squad completed its final training session at Twente’s training centre in Hengelo. Looking ahead to the Pafos match, Van den Brom conveyed a positive mood around his team. “We have a lot of confidence, the feeling is good,” he said in comments published by FC Twente’s official website. The coach nevertheless indicated that Twente are seeking more from their European campaign than they have collected so far.

A limited number of tickets remained available on Wednesday, with no club card required to buy them. De Grolsch Veste will open from 19:30, while Twente have advised supporters to arrive early. The club is also providing a dedicated live audio-description service for visually impaired supporters, accessible by mobile phone both inside and outside the stadium.
