FC Twente have introduced a new initiative encouraging supporters to cycle to the club’s home matches. The programme, called Trappen op Matchday, will operate through the Da’s zo gefietst app during the season.

Fans who travel to home fixtures by bicycle can take part in a series of Matchday challenges. Frequent participation will increase the rewards available, with supporters given opportunities to secure unique club items and special fan experiences.

Cycling to matches will also earn users additional points. Those points can be exchanged for rewards offered by participating businesses across Overijssel. Twente say the challenges will appear in the app over the course of the campaign, rather than being announced all at once.

To participate, supporters must download the Da’s zo gefietst app, select the Trappen op Matchday – FC Twente option and then join the relevant challenges when cycling to home games. The wider app awards Overijssel residents points for every kilometre they travel by bike, with the Twente programme adding club-specific incentives on matchdays.
