The joint academy begins its competitive programme on Saturday, with the Under-21 side hosting Feyenoord and the Under-13s entering an international tournament in Zutphen.

The FC Twente/Heracles Academy will begin its new competitive programme on Saturday, August 29, with teams from Under-12 to Under-21 level scheduled for action. The Under-21s open at home against Feyenoord Under-21 at the training centre in Hengelo, where kick-off is set for 12.30pm.
The academy’s Under-19 side will visit FC Utrecht at Sportpark Zoudenbalch for a 3pm start. The Under-17s and Under-14s both face FC Volendam away, kicking off at 2.30pm in Volendam and 10am in Edam respectively.
Elsewhere, the Under-16s travel to Amsterdam to play Zeeburgia, while the Under-15s meet De Graafschap in Doetinchem. The Under-12s complete the Saturday schedule with a 10am fixture against FC Groningen at Sportpark Corpus Den Hoorn.
The Under-13s are the only FC Twente/Heracles team not beginning league competition that weekend. Instead, they will take part in the Seesing Flex Tournament at FC Zutphen from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30. The field includes international opposition Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen and Club Brugge, as well as Ajax. The academy has also selected the Under-21 meeting with Feyenoord as its first featured “Match of the Week”, bringing additional coverage through its social-media channels.
