FC Groningen defender Csinger fires Hungary to late Nations League win
Csinger scored his first senior international goal two minutes after Ukraine’s equaliser, securing a 2-1 victory for Hungary in Nations League B.

FC Groningen defender Csinger became Hungary’s match-winner with his first international goal in a 2-1 Nations League victory over Ukraine. The defender started the Group 2 contest and struck with five minutes remaining, sliding the ball home shortly after the hosts had drawn level.
Hungary initially went ahead through Milan Toth, but Roman Yaremchuk equalised for Ukraine seven minutes from time. The response was immediate: just two minutes later, Csinger restored Hungary’s advantage and secured all three points. Northern Ireland remain top of the group after playing out a goalless draw with Georgia.
Csinger has been with FC Groningen since the summer. He had made only one senior appearance for Hungary when he joined the Eredivisie club, but has now collected five caps after featuring in every match of the current Nations League campaign so far.
Elsewhere in Nations League B, Sweden retained the lead in Group 4 with a 1-0 win over Romania. Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres scored the decisive goal, extending his scoring run to seven successive Nations League appearances. Sweden have ten points from four matches, two more than Bosnia-Herzegovina, who defeated Poland 1-0 through an Ivan Basic penalty.
