FC Emmen take early KKD lead after 10-goal thriller at Jong Ajax
Jack Cooper-Love struck a hat-trick as Emmen overturned an early deficit to win 6-4 in Amsterdam, while Jong AZ and Vitesse also collected away victories.

FC Emmen moved to the top of the Keuken Kampioen Divisie after an extraordinary 6-4 victory away to Jong Ajax. Menno van Dam’s side recovered after trailing 3-1 midway through the first half to take all three points from the 10-goal contest in Amsterdam.
Jack Cooper-Love led Emmen’s comeback with a hat-trick, while Freddy Quispel scored twice. The result leaves Emmen on six points from their opening two matches, level with Heracles Almelo and MVV Maastricht. Emmen occupy first place because they have the best goal difference of the three sides.
Elsewhere, Vitesse earned a 3-1 away win against Jong FC Utrecht, with Naoufal Bannis scoring twice. The Arnhem club have collected four points from their first two fixtures and will next host Almere City on Friday.
Jong AZ produced another striking away result by beating De Graafschap 5-2 in Doetinchem. That defeat compounded a difficult evening for the home side, while the round’s three highlighted matches produced 21 goals in total. Emmen’s comeback and superior goal difference were enough to make them the division’s early leaders after two rounds.
