Excelsior lead VI Team of the Week as Ihattaren and Koeman shine
Four Excelsior players earned places in VI’s weekly selection, while Mohamed Ihattaren and Telstar goalkeeper Ronald Koeman also delivered standout performances.

Excelsior supplied four players to VI’s Team of the Week following their match against Willem II. Irakli Yegoian and Rick Meissen both received ratings of 8, with Yegoian identified as the team’s leading performer. Casper Widell scored 7.5 and Simon Janssen was awarded a 7.
Meissen also marked the occasion with a personal milestone, scoring the first professional goal of his career in the 34th minute. Excelsior’s four selections made them the best-represented club in the weekly XI.
Mohamed Ihattaren was another major figure after playing a part in every goal during the meeting between ADO Den Haag and Fortuna Sittard. He scored twice, provided an assist and earned an 8. Ivo Pinto joined him in the selection after receiving a rating of 7.
Telstar goalkeeper Ronald Koeman attracted attention in unusual fashion by converting two penalties against SC Cambuur. AZ midfielder Peer Koopmeiners also received an 8, while the forward line included PEC Zwolle attacker Dylan Mbayo and Sparta striker Milan Zonneveld. Zonneveld found the net with two headers, although one was disallowed, and he also assisted Isaac Babadi for the 2-1 goal.
