De Graafschap Women came from behind to beat FC Utrecht 2-1 at Sportcomplex Zoudenbalch, collecting their fifth league victory of the season. The visitors controlled much of the early possession and pressed high, but Utrecht struck first through Felice Hermans after a goalmouth scramble from a corner.

Timo Kleinhesselink’s side continued to push despite falling behind. Their pressure was rewarded in the 42nd minute when defender Anne Tijink finished a move to make it 1-1. It was Tijink’s first goal in the Eredivisie and ensured De Graafschap went into the interval on level terms.

Utrecht became more competitive as the second half developed, but De Graafschap completed the turnaround in the 64th minute. Samya Hassani collected the ball in a wide position and curled an effort into the far top corner for the decisive goal.

The home side increased the pressure late on and created opportunities to equalise. De Graafschap goalkeeper Dionne van der Wal made an important save, while Utrecht goalkeeper Femke Bastiaen also went forward for a corner in the closing stages. The visitors held firm to move onto 15 points from nine matches. The promoted team remain fourth in the Eredivisie Women, with their position strengthened after AZ and SC Heerenveen both lost on Sunday.
