De Graafschap surrender lead in 2-2 draw at FC Eindhoven
Second-half substitutes Gabriele Finocchiaro and Kyano Kwint scored before Siegert Baartmans quickly denied De Graafschap victory.

De Graafschap had to settle for a 2-2 draw away to FC Eindhoven after briefly turning a half-time deficit into a second-half lead. Gabriele Finocchiaro and Kyano Kwint struck for the visitors, but Siegert Baartmans equalised only two minutes after Kwint had made it 2-1.
The visitors enjoyed more possession and carried the greater threat during the opening stages, according to De Graafschap’s official match report. However, poor execution prevented them from converting promising situations into clear chances. FC Eindhoven were more clinical, with Rayan Buifrahi opening the scoring in the 22nd minute through a shot from around 20 metres.
Finocchiaro’s introduction helped De Graafschap produce a stronger display after the interval. The Italian substitute levelled in the 53rd minute following an individual run, with his shot taking a deflection before finding the net. Fellow replacement Kwint then controlled a difficult cross on his chest and finished past goalkeeper Borgmans in the 70th minute.
De Graafschap’s advantage lasted just two minutes. Baartmans applied the final touch at the other end to restore parity, and the visitors were unable to create another major opening before full-time. Their next fixture is a home game against Jong FC Utrecht at De Vijverberg on Friday.
