Boyd Lucassen discusses rehabilitation and NAC role before VVV home opener
The NAC Breda player features in the latest episode of the club’s weekly podcast as the 2026/27 campaign gets under way.
NAC Breda have released a new episode of their club podcast featuring Boyd Lucassen, who discusses his rehabilitation and his readiness to contribute when required. The episode was published on 12 August as part of the returning De Bespreking series for the 2026/27 season.
According to NAC, Lucassen also talks about the club’s “NOAD mentality” and the make-up of the current first-team squad. The club did not provide further details about his recovery in its written announcement, instead directing supporters to the full podcast episode on Spotify. Lucassen’s message is framed around remaining available to help the side whenever the team needs him.
The conversation also looks ahead to NAC’s first home match of the season, against VVV-Venlo. That fixture follows a winning start to the Keuken Kampioen Divisie campaign: NAC opened with a 2-1 victory away to TOP Oss. Substitutes Moussa Soumano and Pepijn Reulen scored the goals that turned the match in NAC’s favour.
De Bespreking is scheduled to run weekly throughout the season, with NAC speaking to the head coach, a player, or both. The club’s subsequent league programme also includes an away match against Roda JC in Kerkrade on Friday 28 August, with kick-off set for 20:00 local time. NAC have been allocated space for 500 travelling supporters at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion.
